CALMING HEART MANTRA

Feng Shui is more than physical placement. It is about the "chi" (energy) of earth, human and heaven. In BTB (Black Sect Tantric Buddhism) Feng Shui, we engage in reciting "mantras" to adjust our personal "chi". "Man" = mind, "tra" = to free from. Mantras are sacred words and sounds that help lift us out of the mundane.

A mantra that we use frequently is "The Calming Heart Mantra" derived from a sacred Buddhist text. The words are:

Ga-te, ga-te, para ga-te
Para sum ga-te
Bodhi, svaha

The body gesture while reciting the above mantra is: rest your left palm over the right palm, thumbs almost touching and place it against your heart, palms open. Allow your mind to become empty as your recite the mantra nine times out loud. This practice will help you to relax, become calm and open a gentle space around your heart.
